My Portfolio
Here you will find a few projects that I have worked on throughout my academic and professional career. Each piece below challenged me and broadened my knowledge of technical communications and UX and UI design.
Social Media Team for The Writing Center at The University of Texas at Arlington
I worked with a team to produce content to advertise, market, and inform UTA students on the resources provided by the Writing Center (WC) and offer helpful educational manuals. In the production of the content I would hold round table talks, interview students, and use our social platforms to interact with our followers on areas that students wanted more information and resources on.

Bigtown Housing Authority Editing Plan
I proposed an editing plan for a public housing management group known as the Bigtown Housing Authority. My editing plan was focused on a portion of a handbook given to residents of this housing group. I included substantive and copy edits in my editing plan with the intended goal of creating a clear and organized document that a cross-cultural audience could understand.

Wikipedia Stub-Class Edits
|
I edited the Islamic School of Irving's stub-class Wikipedia article for completeness and accuracy. Within my edits, I included substantive and copy edits along with fact-checking the article and the information included. This article had little to no information on its cite and required much research to develop the page. Through my editing and research, I was able to contribute many factors to the article, including the history, programs, and credentials of the school.

Editing Do-It-Yourself YouTube Content
|
In this presentation, I worked as a Technical Editor specializing in Do-it-Yourself YouTube content. My work consisted of examining, analyzing, and providing feedback to YouTube creators seeking guidance in developing and enhancing their profiles. Throughout this presentation, I provided substantive and copy edits, along with multimodal and visual edits that clarified and broke down the content provided by YouTuber xoJhazy's video entitled "DIY Luxury Picnic Table."

Daily Self-Monitoring for COVID-19 Flyer
The University of Texas at Arlington created an original flyer for monitoring Covid-19 cases on campus. I used my technical editing skills to enhance the flyer and create a more organized, easily navigated, and universally understood document. My flyer on the left has been organized by a UTA color scheme, sectioned into headings with concise information, and credited through the visual data.
The progress report on the flyer edits can be found in the file below.
